Nguyen Van Hien, 36 years old, explains the persistent drop of water that will break the stone, as well as practicing yoga that needs to be passionate and lasting.
4 years ago, Hien’s main job was a math teacher. Every day he went to teach and went home. Life circle, repetitive makes him boring. Youth urges boys to bravely seek other creative and new jobs.
By chance, Hien read an interview about Warren Buffett, one of the greatest and most successful investors in history. Warren said that to succeed, to invest in people most is body, mind and spirit. Investors emphasize “if you write diaries daily, practicing yoga or meditation will know who you are”. That sentence awakens the young man. Hien embarked on a journey to learn yoga to change her life.
At first, Hien had many difficulties when his family protested “yoga is not suitable for long-term pursuit”. He did not explain. I think when I succeed, people will understand and believe me.
First he went online to learn and then to class. He was curious when the gym had 90% female students but most teachers were male. He is determined to learn to become a yoga teacher for everyone.
Every day, Hien rides 12 km from the house to the gym. He practiced from Monday to Sunday, 2-3 hours per session. His body was still stiff, he couldn’t even bend over. Therefore, Hien reminded himself to be diligent. The boy stayed many times after training to review the lesson.
His first training session lasted for 3 hours. “I’ve never had so much sweat,” said Hien.
When practicing, he uses the trick of water drops, simple but repetitive to practice. He thought it was only a matter of perseverance that one day the water could penetrate the stone. You choose the easiest exercise in yoga as “hello sun” to practice every day. This is a warm-up for muscle joints before every hour of yoga.
There are many reasons why yoga has not become popular with men such as choosing the wrong class, wrong teacher or not passionate. However, he said that the biggest reason is that the concept of yoga is not correct and sufficient.
Most people think that yoga is flexible and not strong. Softness is just a characteristic of yoga. In addition, yoga is also cylindrical, balanced and requires strength.
Currently, muscle-loving men should choose the gym to pursue while yoga balances everything at a moderate level. When doing yoga, the muscles are more flexible and tougher than solid muscles in the gym. Therefore, depending on the purpose, there are exercises to train muscles, improve physiology or practice to regain balance, reduce stress such as pushing dolphins, turning frogs, warriors or standing by the head …
In addition, yoga for men and women is basically no different. But when practicing, men should choose suitable exercises. The posture is flexible and flexible, but there is no need to pay attention.
Regarding nutrition, he is not too strict but eating his feelings. Choose pure foods, limit animal-based foods and pay attention to the mental state at mealtime. When eating with a relaxed spirit will help the body absorb energy better.
Thanks to yoga, Mr. Hien can ride 120 km to Hai Phong or walk 12 km from the house to the center without losing strength. Yoga helps him to balance his body, to master his own reason and emotions. Thanks to persevering practice, he eats, sleeps, digests more easily.
“Practicing yoga to help stretch your spring age is real,” Hien said with a smile.
With 4-year experience in the profession, he thinks that when health is better, mind and emotions are excited, naturally everything around is better. “Invisible decisions determine tangible or fruit-bearing roots,” he said.
He advised people not to see yoga as a sport, but the root of yoga is about practice and lifestyle. Yoga takes time to experience and passion for long-term pursuit.
“If it’s a piece of the right piece, it’s a bit late,” he said. “Yoga is really a piece that I spend my youth looking for.”
